It’s Blog Hop Day 2 for Simon Says Stamp Cheer and Joy holiday release. So many festive new products in this release and lots of inspirational ideas on this blog hop, too! I’ve got three, 5″ x 7″ cards I’m excited to share with you that feature the following new products, all part of the latest release:

Here’s a quick look at each card with details on the cards below. Keep reading and find out how you can win $25 from Simon Says Stamp, too!

Card 1: Merry and Bright Gnome

My first card was super easy to make. I started with a 5″ X 7″ warm gray card base. I added strips of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock to the front, each 5″ wide X approximately 1.25″ high. I allowed some of the warm gray card base to show through between the strips. The phrase, “merry and bright” was stamped in the center, on the bottom strip in black ink.

The two gnomes were die cut out of aqua, pink, green and white cardstock and assembled on a white backing. The gnomes were also backed with white craft foam for dimension and adhered to the card front. Silver Pearl Pen was added to all four corners of each strip like nail heads on shiplap. Iridescent sequins were glued to the front for extra sparkle. 🙂

Card 2: Holiday Sweater Greeting

Card two uses the Holiday Sweater Stencil for the background and Holiday Greetings Mix 1 for the sentiment and snowflakes. I used Ranger Embossing Paste with the stencil on teal cardstock for the top portion of the card front top. I stamped the “season’s greetings” boxed-in phrase on black cardstock with Versamark ink. I heat embossed it in white and cropped the design. I added black craft foam to the back of the sentiment to “pop” it up from the background. This is a 5″ X 7″ card so I extended the front by adding a piece of white cardstock with stamped snowflakes in red, pink and teal. Here’s two more looks of this bright and sweater cozy card…

Wait…there’s one last card I’d like to share with you and then it’s time to hop on…

Card 3:  Leaves, Berries and Joy

To make this card, I stamped the background using the Leaves and Berries background stamp and colored in the berries in green, teal and pink. I stamped the Joy phrase on top of the stamped background in black ink. Next, I stamped the “Wishing you…” phrase on white cardstock and die cut it using the base die of the gnome. I added black foam to the back by die cutting one from craft foam and adhering the two together. I added enamel dots to the gnome hat in the colors of the berries. Since my background stamp is 6″ X 6″, I needed to extend my look to fit a 7″ tall card front. I cropped the stamped leaves, added two strips of aqua cardstock for more details and adhered the front to a 5″ X 7″ white card base. Here is is close up. I like how the block letter phrase just fits on the gnome silhouette!
