Card 1: Happy Trifold

My first card features the following products: Chunky Happy die set and the Fairytale Spinners stamp set.

This Happy card is a 5″  X 7″ tri-fold. The front of the card is made from see-through acetate. I glued the Chunky Happy die, cut from warm gray, yellow and white cardstock as well as 4 mm black craft foam to the front of the sheet. It’s chunky both ways now!

You can see the dimension here. See the black foam? I also added another layer of the yellow outline to make it stand out a bit more, too.

For the second tri-fold panel layer, I stamped the over-sized daisy stem on white cardstock and colored it in using Copics in shades of yellow and greens for the stems. A few dots in black using my black marker helps tie the design to the Reverse Grad Sentiment Strip positioned right under the Happy die cut when folded and closed.

Notice when the  front panel is raised, another strip is revealed underneath the “Happy” die cut. In the photo you can see I used another shadow die cut in black to conceal the glued back side of the die cut.

The final panel of this tri-fold includes a few more messages using the Reverse Grad Sentiment Strips. I am going to send this to my great niece who graduated this year. This card could be used for many occasions by simply changing out the sentiment strips or stamping a phrase inside.

Card 2: Fairytale Spinner

For my second card, I’m using the Fairytale Spinners stamp set which includes two adorable fairies – front and back sides. Imagine the possibilities having both sides of the images. I created this spinner card to share. I also used the In the Round stencil to create the backdrop on the outside and inside panels of this card. Additional sequins were added to the outside for interest and sparkle. 🙂

The card front oval panel includes a spinning fairy that when opened, allows the fairy to spin/twirl from the invisible line that suspends the fairy in the opening. Here’s a quick clip to show her in action.

You can see the back and front sides of the spinning fairy.

Inside the card, the fairy is in her garden. I stamped the flowers, grasses and phrase from the stamp set. I also used the In the Round stencil for the background again. I positioned the inside panel fairy so that when the card is in its closed position, the fairies stack up. You don’t see this fairy at all. This is a 5″ X 7″ card.

Card 3: Chunky Flower

Finally, I also wanted to share a card I made using another new set called Chunky Flower stamp set and the Chunky Happy die set.  I heat embossed this fun background design on a watercolored background I made using a rainbow of colors.

This is a 5″ X 7″ card so the 6″ square stamp design only covers a portion of the card front. I added the “Happy” die cut at the bottom to finish the look.

For more ideas, check out my prior blog posts where I feature these sets in other cards.
