Gift Tags for the Holidays

Gift Tags for the Holidays

Hello, Bee friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here sharing four gift tags I made for the 25 Days of Christmas tags event. These tags could be simply attached to a card for a greeting, too. My tags use the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Lovely Layers Pinecone Honey Cuts

Pretty Poinsettia stamp and coordinating die sets

Barn Wood Background stamp

Farmhouse Checked Background Stamp

No Peeking stamp and coordinating die sets

Let’s take a look at each one individually…

Season’s Greetings Tag

For my first tag, I used the Barn Wood background stamp for the backdrop. I colored the woodgrain using Copics in E57, E55 and E43. These are my “go-to” colors for wood backgrounds. I added the layered pinecone. Before I put the pinecone together, I painted the edges using Dr. Marten’s Bleed Proof White Paint. The bow is from Pretty Poinsettias. I added some faux red stitching to the edges and used warm grays for the bow’s fabric. I ended up doubling the bow (stamped and die cut twice) to make it more dimensional. Evergreens dipped in white paint, Ruby Slippers and an embossed phrase (using white embossing powder) adorn the tag. A black and white gingham ribbon was added to finish the tag. Everything was adhered in place using the Honey Bee Precision glue. This glue works quickly and is easy to use. Make sure to get the stand to go with it, too!

No Peeking Tag

For this tag, I cut a rectangle to be my present out of Kraft cardstock and punched a hole for the twine string. I embossed poinsettias and pinecones on the front from the Pretty Poinsettia stamp set and die sets. For the No Peeking stamp set ribbon, I embossed in white on red cardstock. I also darkened the edges of the ribbon using an R89 Copic. Holly, berries and evergreens were added instead of a bow. I added the cute tag, “No Peeking,” too. Everything was adhered in place using the Honey Bee Precision glue.

Merry and Bright Tag

The flower colored in R89, R59, R17, R81 from the Pretty Poinsettia stamp and coordinating die sets is the star on this tag. I used the Barn Wood Background stamp for the tag’s backdrop colored in cool and warm grays with a bit of B000 blue added. I added the poinsettia as well as evergreens and berry branches colored in silvery blues (Copic B000, B91). The phrase is also from the same set. Glitter was added to the flower center to finish this tag. Everything was adhered in place using the Honey Bee Precision glue.

Peace On Earthy Tag

For my last tag, I used the Farmhouse Check background stamped in black for the backdrop. I added two layered pinecones and evergreens all painted with touches of white paint. Berry branches colored with Copics E59, RV69 and V04 were tucked in as well. I finished it off with the Peace on Earth phrase from the Pretty Poinsettia stamp and coordinating die sets embossed on a wine colored cardstock. Everything was adhered in place using the Honey Bee Precision glue.

Each tag is backed with beautiful papers by Honey Bee Stamps. I used patterns from the Holiday Traditions and Log Cabin paper pads. The to/from and the phrase on the green tag is from the Santa Express stamp set. The rest of the phrases are from the Pretty Poinsettia stamp set.
