I’m so happy to be one of the stops and I’m really glad you stopped by today! 🙂  This release is all dies, no stamps or stencils. There’s snowflakes to hearts in this release – plenty of choices for all tastes and preferences! I’m sharing four of the new dies from the release:

Season’s Greetings Card

This 5″ X 7″ card features the new Autumn Splendor die. I started with a light aqua blue card front and shaded the edges using Mermaid Lagoon Distressed Oxide Ink. I adhered the white Autumn Spendor die cuts to the front using HBS Precision Glue and added more shading to the edges so that the white die cuts would blend in to the background for a unified look.

Next, I splattered watercolor paint on the front in black, brown and metallic gold using my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors (48 set)  watercolor paints. Once it was dry, I splattered Dr. Ph Marten’s Bleed Proof white paint on the front. The contrast of the darker and light splatters adds depth to the look.

I also die cut the Autumn Splendor design from two shades of plum and wine cardstock and created a focal point with them.  The phrase, “season’s greetings” from the  CZ Design Clean Line Christmas stamp and die sets was heat embossed in white using Wow! Bright White Opaque Embossing Powder and die cut. I attached the phrase along with a bow made of gold cording. Berries in plum were added to the die cuts using Pearl Pen.

Snowflake Gift Tags

I always need a lot of gift tags for the holidays. I made these two featuring the new Jewel Snowflake die along with several other fun Simon Says Stamp products. For the base of these tags, I used the Hero Arts Nesting Tag Die set.

The pink tag uses the CZ Design Joy die, released in the previous Holly Jolly release and the new Jewel Snowflake. To make the tag, I splattered the pink tag with Dr. Ph Marten’s Bleed Proof white paint. I die cut the snowflake in white and added a red pompom to the center. Sequins in green colors were glued to the tag. To make the Joy word, I die cut it in red, added random white lines using Uni-bell Signo White Gel Pen and layered it with a black die cut slightly offset, a white shadow and a black 3MM craft foam layer (cut from the shadow) to make it stand out. The word was attached, dots of black were added to the edges for fun and a string tag using baker’s twine was attached.

I used the same idea for the blue tag. I splattered paint and added small pompoms to the snowflake and sequins to accent. The “Don’t Stop Believin'” stamp and dies are from one of my favorites – CZ Design Great Things stamp and the coordinating die set. I added a white scallop pompom edge to the bottom and a baker’s twine string to finish it. The pompoms and trim were purchased at a local fabric store.

Paper Hugs Slimline Cards

These two slimline cards feature the super cute Paper Hugs die. I love this fun font. I used it with the Detail Petal Plate Wafer die on my first card above. I colored my white cardstock in lines of rainbow-order color using Copic markers and die cut the design out of it. I also combined the die with some fun pompom fringe for a very warm and cozy hug on my second card. 🙂 Both cards measure 3-1/2″ wide X 8-1/2″ tall and are made from. 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock. They fit inside a business-sized envelope.
