Floral Cards for Spring

For my first 5″ X 7″ card, I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed using Wow! Bright White Opaque Embossing Powder the Open Grid Background stamp set on aqua blue paper. I added gold metallic drops (I used Pearl Pen, but Nuvo Drops would work, too)  at each grid intersection on the left side. On the right side, I dry embossed the Floral Centerpiece Embossing Folder  on white cardstock and applied Mermaid Lagoon and Mustard Seed Distressed Oxide inks over the design to get this multi-colored floral panel. I added more gold drops for the flower centers to match the left side.

I die cut the “just because” die twice, out of gold metallic paper and attached it on the left. I also added a strip of gold metallic cardstock vertically, between the two panels to complete the look.

For this slimline card measuring 8-1/2′ wide by 3-1/2″ tall, I stamped the floral design and phrase from the Spring Bouquets stamp set. I colored the flowers in yellow and the leaves in greens using the following Copic colors:

  • Yellows: Y28, Y26, Y19, Y15, Y11
  • Greens: YG 97, YG63,YG61, YG03, BG10
  • Shadowing: W3, W1

I applied Scattered Straw Distressed Oxide Ink around the outer edges of the front panel. I also splattered white acrylic paint on the front and added some black dots here and there, around the flowers. Lastly, I added a gold metallic strip of cardstock on both ends and added some sparkly and bamboo-like sequins to the front. The front panel was attached to a slimline card base to complete this card.

Both cards are perfect to have on hand to share a note with someone at anytime. They are bright, full of life and look happy in yellow!

Cards for the Graduate

Here’s some grad cards featuring the Virtual Grad Stamp and coordinating die set bundle. I’ll be sharing these cards later this week, but wanted you to see some ideas for the graduate during this pandemic year! The set includes the perfect words and images to create a coordinating message inside each card. I love that!
