It’s a scary night when the ghosts come out with a full moon in the background. Wait… that’s my card today! I’m using a fabulous new stencil set from Trinity Stamps called, October Night Sky. It comes with a large moon, scary trees, unique clouds and bats. I love how this all works together for super fun backgrounds for your favorite Halloween characters and critters!

I created this entire 5″ X 7″ card with just an $11.99 stencil! That’s it! I used Distressed Oxide Inks in:

Black Soot, Seedless Preserves, and Salvaged Patina for the sky

Black Soot for the trees and bats

Weathered Wood for the large moon in the middle and

Hero Hues Unicorn White ink for the clouds.

I used 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the A7 card front panel and A7 card base.

For the ghosts, I free-hand cut the three from 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock, added shading around their perimeters and sheet folds using C4, C3, C2, C1, and C0 Copic Markers. I used a Copic 100 black marker to add eyes. When I adhered them to the card front at the bottom, I popped the middle, taller, ghost up a little by using Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares. Using 1/2″ wide X 3/4″ tall black rectangles, I used my white Gelly Roll pen to hand write the letters “BOO” on added an outline around the perimeter. I attached them and added “sheet hands” by punching out white circles and cutting them in 1/2″ I used a 1/2″ circle punch.

For the moon, I added some Glitzy Gray Baubles to the big moon for some dimensional sparkle along with black and white dots using a marker and white Gelly Roll pen. The gray dots are done with a Copic marker to add more subtle texture. I outlined the moon in a c3 for a little “pop!”

I hope you enjoyed this one. It’s a super fun card to make for you stencil lovers. It’s also very inexpensive, too!
