I recently came across this cute company with adorable stamp sets called Right At Home (RAH). After looking through the company’s sets and admiring many, I read Nicole’s story (owner) on the company’s blog. I immediately loved Nicole’s story and could relate to her. We have a lot in common including loving the Gilmore Girls and chips and salsa! Nicole’s story reminded me of our own family businesses. I grew up working in my mom’s flower shop. I feel blessed to have been part of a family business and it sounds like Nicole is enjoying building her own family business as well.
I will be sharing more cards using my RAH stamp sets in the next weeks, but wanted to share this one today. My card uses the Grid Background and Tiny Sentiments stamp sets. I could probably spend all afternoon playing with this funky grid. It’s such a cool design. Today, I used Canson XL watercolor paper, Versamark and white embossing powder to emboss the design. Next I colored the squares using my watercolors in a rainbow of bright colors. I had some extra grid from another project and cut out a few of the boxes to pop up, off the grid background to represent “pieces” to fit with the embossed sentiment, “i love you to pieces” from Tiny Sentiments. Lastly, I added black specks to the front using a black marker. I love how the bright colors of this card contrast nicely with the black and white sentiment. Check out Right At Home and let me know what you think.
Thanks for visiting!
