What better time to get in shape than the new year. I’ve got four shaped cards featuring Honey Bee Stamp products from the Bee Mine Release on the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog this week. I’m sharing one of the cards from the blog post here with more photos and details below.
Sometimes our only option is to send paper hugs and kisses to our distant loved ones. With the Post Box Card Base die set you can send the hugs, kisses, and the whole post box! I’ve loaded up this fun-shaped card with a bunch of Xs and Os . To make this a top-folded card, I simply folded my cardstock and allowed the mailbox die to extend beyond the folded edge on top, so it does not cut through. There is also a hinge die in the set if you want to hinge it on the side, instead. I also did a partial die cut so that the top door of the box opens to reveal the hugs and kisses inside! Here’s a few close ups to see how it works.
The phrases and scripty words, “Kisses” is from the Kiss Buzz Word stamp and die sets. I also love the “paper hugs” phrase used here. It’s from the set, Love Enclosed. Did you notice the stitched hearts on the box? I used the Fluttering Hearts Pierced Coverplate die. This has a coordinating coverplate called Fluttering Hearts Coverplate that looks amazing layered on top.
The Xs and Os are from the set, XOXO Buzz Word die set. You can layer these fun letters with the shadow pieces for big, bold looks like I did here in the inside.
