Eat Cake!

Hello! If today is your birthday, then I have the perfect card for you! It’s bright, happy and filled with cake! Even if it is not your special day, it’s cake o’clock somewhere! I’m using Jane’s Doodles, Cake! stamp set.

I used Mermaid Lagoon Mustard Seed Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distressed Oxide Inks for the background. After blending the inks using my HBS Blender Brushes, I splattered water and blotted it with a paper towel to create the vivid background.

I used Simon Says Stamp Happy birthday die cut for the phrase and one of the phrases from the Cake! stamp set. I heat embossed it right below the die cut that was positioned on a yellow band of color.

The cakes were colored using Copic Sketch Markers. I added dimensional dots using Pearl Pen and added flower and heart clay bits from Honey Bee Stamps on the cakes and letters for more fun and dimension.
