Hello! It’s time for the Rainbow Dreams Instagram Hop to celebrate this colorful mini release by Honey Bee Stamps. I am using the following products for this fun card that includes lots of color inside.

Rainbow Builder A2 Card Base | Honey Cuts

Rainbow Dreams | 6×8 Stamp Set and coordinating die set

Rainbow Accents | Honey Cuts

Look For The Rainbow | 6×7 stamp set and coordinating die set

Ombre Dots Foil Plate

The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panels. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use the Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. My card measures 5″ X 7″ in size.

How to Make this Card

To make this card, I used two pieces of cardstock to create the overlapping flap. Since this is a 5″ X 7″ card, two pieces are needed to create the 15″ length. The flap on top panel is 5″ wide X 3″ long, the inside (and also the back) panel is 5″ wide X 7″ long and the bottom front flap is 5″ wide X 5″ long. These sizes create a 1″ overlap of the two front panels. When cutting these pieces, Cut two long 5″ wide pieces and score to create the front flaps.  I overlapped the 7″ back panel. This also provides some sturdiness to the 80lb cardstock.

On the front panel, I used Copics B000 and B01 to create the cloudy sky. I stamped, die cut and attached four clouds using the Rainbow Dreams | 6×8 Stamp Set and dies from the Rainbow Builder A2 Card Base | Honey Cuts set. I used Scrapbook Adhesives .25 Foam Squares in white to attach the cloud in the forefront for dimension. I tucked in a few hearts on the front. Their colors match the surprise inside! The phrase is from the Look For The Rainbow | 6×7 stamp set.

On the bottom, front panel, I used the Ombre Dots Foil Plate to foil blue dots (aka raindrops) underneath the clouds.

When the top flap is raised, a slight reveal of a rainbow is visible…

When the bottom flap is also opened, the full rainbow and the stars are visible. I used the Rainbow Accents | Honey Cuts dies to create the rainbow and the Rainbow Dreams | 6×8 Stamp Set and coordinating die set for the stars. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Prize Ribbon, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvage Patina to color the stars before die cutting them. I made two sets of stars.

I stamped the final phrase from Look For The Rainbow | 6×7 stamp set inside to finish this card.
