Hi there. It’s Bobbi Lemanski here sharing a card featuring the new stamp set, Painted Pumpkins. This set includes four beautifully, unique fruit with designs just waiting to be colored. I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products for this greeting card:
Painted Pumpkins stamp set and coordinating dies
Fall Foliage Sentiments Hot Foil Plates
Fall Foliage Frame stamp set and coordinating dies
Lovely Layers: Maple Leaf dies
The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and Canson XL Watercolor paper for the front panel. The black ink stamping inside the card was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I also used the Bee Creative No Line Coloring ink pad for the pumpkins. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.
You can check out my Instagram reel where I show how this card being assembled. In the video, I’m using the Wendy Vecchi MAKE ART LARGE STAY-tion to position and assemble the elements of my card. It really helps to ensure elements such as the sentiment words are straight.
For this 5″ X 7″ greeting, I added a wash of watercolor for the background using various orange paints from my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paint set. I also splattered the wash with metallic gold paint from the same paint set. Next, I die cut the maple leaves outline out in a rust and gold color using the outline die from the Lovely Layers: Maple Leaf die set and attached them to the front panel.
Using the Painted Pumpkins stamp set and coordinating dies, I stamped the pumpkins using the Bee Creative No Line Coloring ink pad and colored them using my Copic Sketch Markers. I used the following colors:
- Golds: E55, Y28, Y26, YR31
- Greens: BG93, BG90, YG67, YG63, YG61
- Oranges: YR09, YR21, YR20, YR02
- Neutrals: E43, E42, E40, W4, W3, W1, W0
The pumpkins were cut out using their coordinating dies. I added Scrapbook Adhesives foam circles to the back of the floral and checkerboard pumpkins to make them stand out on the card front.
I hot foiled the sentiment, “Thinking of You” using the Fall Foliage Sentiments Hot Foil Plates, my spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System and Gold Glimmer Foil. Using the coordinating dies, I cut the letters out and attached them to the card front using foam tabs. I used the Wendy Vecchi MAKE ART LARGE STAY-tion to position the words in a straight row. The magnetic ruler and magnetic base with grid really make it easy.
Inside the card, I stamped leafy pumpkin and a sentiment from the Fall Foliage Frame stamp set using my Bee Creative Intense Black Ink.
