Hello! Time for some cute little holiday gnomes today. I’m using the new stamp set by Paperie Ink called, Gnome for Christmas. I created a snowy hill for this gnome clan to stand on for the front of my A7 card. At the top of the snowy covered knoll is this fam’s cute little mushroom hut, already decorated for the holidays!
To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I used the Snowflake Cluster stencil by Simon Says Stamp, HBS Blender Brushes Big and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink for the background design. I added fun layers of snow made from 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock and gray cardstock. I used Copics in warm grays – W3, W1 and W0 – to make the shadows on the snow.
I stamped all the elements of the set, colored them using Copics in the colors listed below and fussy cut them out.
- Reds: R89, R46, R29, R17, R14
- Greens: YG67, YG03, YG00
- Blues: B04, B02, B00, B000
- Grays: C3, C2, C1, C0
- Browns: E11, E00 E00
I added accents using a white Gelly Roll Pen for dots, faux stitching on the hats, etc.
Finally, I stamped a string of lights at the top of the card front and colored them in. I also stamped a verse from the set in the lower right-hand corner. I attached this 5″ X 7″ card front panel to a white A7 card base to complete this card.
