Hi Simon friends! Simon Says Stamp has a new release called, “Beautiful Days.” I have a few card ideas to share using some of the new products from the release.
Pawsitively Everything Half Sheet Cardstock Sleeves
My cards below measure 5″ X 7″ and fit inside an A7 envelope. I’m using 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card fronts and card bases. Everything is stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I use Simon Says Stamp Dot Runner Tape Adhesive to attach the elements together. Here’s the details.
Blended Delicate Florals
This card features the Delicate Florals wafter die and the Color Blend cardstock. Using a warm gray cardstock splattered with metallic gold, black and white watercolor paint, I added rectangles of color cardstock from the Color Blend cardstock down the right side. I added white 1/8″ and 1/4″ strips of white cardstock to make the colors really pop. This new blended cardstock offers two shades of color that blend in the middle, making these pieces really attractive.
I added the Delicate Florals die cut, cut from white cardstock on the left. I filled the pieces of the flowers with more Color Blend cardstock. I stamped a phrase from the stamp set, Yay You stamp set. Once everything was glued in place, I added tiny pearls in matching colors to accent the bouquet.
Geo Leaf Birthday Card
For this A7 card, I stamped the background of a white cardstock base with the Geo Leaf Background stamp using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. Using scraps from the prior card, I punched out circles of the colored cardstock and added them to the flower centers and the open spaces around the flowers. I stamped the “Enjoy the Day” sentiment from the Clean Line Everyday stamp set, at the bottom.
For the focal point, I die cut the “HBD” die from white cardstock, stenciled with another geo design. I was a scap piece of cardstock and I love how this designs looks as a “neutral” element. Under the die cut, I added three shapes of colors of the Color Blend cardstock. the HBD layer was attached using foam squares.
A Bunny Birthday Card
For the last card, I used the Geo Background stamp again, but this time I used multiple colors of Distressed Oxide ink and let the colors blend together. I stamped and die cut the bunny and sentiment from the CZ Design Wild Love stamp and die set. and attached this cute bunny and phrase.
I die cut the “It’s Your birthday” phrase and back outline from the Color Blend Cardstock and attached it to the card front. With leftover scraps, I punched out some circular aqua blue dots and glued them to the flower centers to finish the card front panel. The panel was cut down to fit on an A7 aqua blue card base, allowing a 1/2″ of aqua and 1/4″ of white to show on the top and bottom.

Love your cards.
Can I ask, in the Blended Delicate Florals, did you die cute the the florals several times to get all of the different colors of the new card stock and paper piece?
Yes, correct. I would just cut a floral from a scrap piece or a corner of the sheet so that I did not waste the blended cardstock. It’s really quite easy to do and works well! Thanks for visiting! Let me know if you have other questions. Bobbi
