Now for a little inspiration…

Christmas cheer is in the air, and this adorable polar bear is ready to celebrate! Bursting with joy as he pops out of a festive holly wreath, this playful bear brings a little extra magic to the holiday season. Lush evergreen sprigs, bright red berries, and a flurry of falling snow create a charming winter scene filled with Christmas spirit. The sweet sentiment, “In the air there is a feeling of Christmas,” perfectly captures the happiness and wonder of this festive handmade card!

My 5″ X 7″ inspiration card features the following Simon Says Stamp products:

Holly Ringlet Die

Happy Bear Die

Stacked Sentiments 2 stamp set

From prior releases:

Layering Pine Sprigs

EZ Strips Vintage Christmas

EZ Strips Banner Wafer Die

To make this card, I die cut the Holly Ringlet Die from white cardstock. I added color to the leaves using Copic markers. I attached it to a dark green front panel measuring 5″ X 7″. I cut additional holly leaves using the same die and added them around the ringlet to fill in. I attached red berries. I added shading and highlights to the berries to make them appear round. I added green and white pine sprigs to the left side of the wreath for added interest. Red berries finish off the center of the sprigs.

I die cut the Happy Bear Die from white cardstock with black for the eyes and nose. I added a sweater to the bear by die cutting another bear from red cardstock and cutting it down to the shape of a sweater. I did the same for the mittens by cutting the hands from a bright green cardstock. They perfectly fit like a glove. 🙂 I die cut the scarf from a bright green cardstock to match the mittens. Using a white pen, I added faux stitching to the scarf and attached it around the bears neck. I added white stitching on the red sweater around the waist and armhole edges. I attached the bear in the center of the ringlet using foam tabs to make him standout from the wreath.

I stamped in Versamark and embossed in white, the sentiment from the Stacked Sentiments 2 stamp set in the lower righthand corner of the card front. I also added the “Merry Christmas” banner made from EZ Strips Vintage Christmas and EZ Strips Banner Wafer Die. Using white paint and metallic copper watercolor ink, I splattered the front of the card. I attached the card to a white card base to complete it.
