Hi friends! I’m sharing another card featuring a new set called, Beach Days by Paperie Ink. This card is not only sweet and cute, it can also be used for many events such as a birthday, graduation or Father’s Day! I mean, who doesn’t love a hammock-kind-of-day?! My husband may be getting this one this year. 🙂 Relax, unwind, leave your cares behind…. all good ideas for dads, grads and birthday peeps. You can finish this care with either one of two phrases from the set or create your own inside like I will be doing.
To make this slimline card measuring 8-1/2″ wide X 3-1/2″ tall, I used 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card base and for the front panel. One the panel, I stenciled clouds using the Trinity Stamps Puffy Cloud Layers Stencil and Tumbled Glass Distressed Oxide Ink. I added sand using E50 colors and E43.
I stamped and fussy cut the four trees and three relaxers and colored them in bright colors using Copic yellow-greens for the trees and bright colors for the animals in their hammocks:
- Sloth: R14, YR38, YR68, E44, E43, E50
- Koala Bear: C5, C3, C1, B02, B00
- Flamingo: RV17, C7, C5, C3, Y19, Y06, E50
- Shells: E50, Boo, RV02, W1
- Trees: E43, E44, W2, YG67, YG63, YG03, YG00
I attached the trees and hammock animals using Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares to make them stand out. I added May Arts Hemp Twine between them to connect the hammocks between the trees.
I attached the front panel to the card base to complete this card. Aren’t they just the cutest relaxers?! I’d join them today if I could! This card mails inside a business-sized envelope! Extra postage may be required due to the dimension.
