Teachers are amazing individuals that give so much to helping our children learn and grow. My kids have had some fabulous teachers along their school learning journey. I made this card using Newton’s Nook products for my daughter to give to her DECA adviser at our local high school. Olivia made it to International competition in Orlando this year and her advisor went with her and three other DECA students that qualified. The trip was six days long, a long time for the adviser to be gone from her own family!
My card is also an inspiration card for the Inky Paws Challenge #97. Link your card by this Friday to participate. It’s a color combo challenge and the colors are so pretty together! This was a fun one to make! The products used include:
- Best in Class stamp and die set
- Bubbly Stencil
I used distressed inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Twisted Citron and Mustard Seed to make the background with the stencil. The image was colored using Copic Sketch Markers. I have the coordinating dies for this set so it was easy to cut a perfect cushion for the chalkboard girl to match the image cutout. Here’s a few close-ups of the card.
Thanks for visiting! Thank someone in your life that has helped you learn and/or grow in life.

What an adorable card! I love the way you used the colors on the stencil! So bright and cheerful for a teacher!
