Hello, Friend! October 1 means another new digi stamp collection by The Greeting Farm. This month’s digital stamp set is called, Trick or Treat 5. The new set is filled with fun characters to add to your Halloween night along with spooky elements like the coffin, too. I’m using a new haunted house that is part of the release, too.
To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started by setting up my scene using the house as the focal point, the coffin out front and cute little trick or treaters on both sides. The moon/cloud and bats in the background are from last year’s digital set called, Halloween Nite. I hand drew in the stone path leading up to the hosue. Once everything was in place for my scene, I printed it out on 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored it in!
For the background, I used Copics to color the ground and sky in and then went around the edges, blending in Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink. I like the dusky look the black color gives the scene. Everything else was colored using Copics, adding shadows caused by the moonlight as needed.
