Gift Package Card
For my first 5″ X 7″ card, I used this holiday stamp set for a non-holiday card. To start, the background was created by inking the bottom using the Salvaged Patina Distressed Oxide Ink on 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for my card front. Next, I splattered teal paint on the partially ink blended front using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors (48) paint.
I stamped five presents on the front of the card, some right over the blended ink. I stamped the sixth one on a separate cardstock piece, cut it out and added it to the front using Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares. I colored each package using Copics in Y28, c3, 100, BG23, RV91 and RV93, adding stripes/patterns to some of them.
I added sequins to the tops of all the presents (except for the one that was popped up with a foam square) for a little present sparkle. I also stamped, cut and added the white flower on the bottom gift. A white gel pen was used for the white accent dots.
Lastly, I added “for you” from the Thankful For You layered dies. I used only the last two words of the die this time. I die cut it in white and a metallic gold cardstock and adhered it to both sides of the present. The card front was attached to a white card base. This card is done. 🙂
Lettered Holiday Thank You Card
For my second 5″ X 7″ card, I ink blended distressed oxide inks in Kitsch Flamingo, Salvaged Patina, and Fossilized Amber for the background. I splattered water over the top and pulled up color to make it look splotchy. I also splattered white paint on top. Once everything was dry I stamped the Lettered Holiday Background Stamp over it using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.
I also stamped a gift package and added holly on the top. I used the same Copics as in card 1 (listed above) to color the gift. I die cut the “Thankful For You layered dies” in white and metallic gold and glued them together and attached to the front. The card front was attached to a white card base to complete the card. Lastly, I stamped one of the phrases from the Gift Package stamp set inside for the holidays!
