Welcome to day one of sneak peeks for the new release by Honey Bee Stamps called, Modern Spring. Today, I’m sharing several cards featuring some of the new products. These products (and my links below) will be available on 2/22 to order!
Lovely Layers: Greenery die set
Get Well Soon stamp set and coordinating die set
The featured projects below are made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panels. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use the Bee Creative Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink Pad for all heat embossing and Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. My cards are 5″ X 7″ in size unless noted.
Tulip Wooden Crate Card
To make this card, I used a background cover plate die from the previous release called, Mod 2 Cover Plate die. I die cut it from warm gray cardstock and attached it to a white A7 card base. I also die cut the Wooden Crate Dies from a very light blue cardstock and added warm gray colors to the blue color. The gray tones “age” the crate for a weathered look. I also added a hemp twine bow to the crate.
For the tulips, I die cut four blooms from the Lovely Layers: Tulips die set from a coral cardstock. I wanted more dimension I used Copic Markers in the following colors to add depth to the petals: R17, R14, R22, R21, and R20. For the greenery, I used Copics in YG67, YG63, YG23, and YG03. Yellows were used for the centers. All of the layers were attached together using Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and Scrapbook Adhesives .25 Foam Squares in white.
I grew up in a floral shop so I arranged these flowers in a tri-point design, keeping the largest, open flower towards the base of the design. I added some greenery to the arrangement using the new Lovely Layers: Greenery die set in a blue-green color. I used a BG93 and BG72 Copic to enhance the leaves for these blue-toned greens.
Lastly, I added a phrase from the set, Get Well Soon stamp set and coordinating die set. I backed it with black craft foam to make it stand out a bit.
