Hooray! It’s your day! The Papertrey Ink July release is now live! I made this card using new products:
Hooray! It’s your birthday stamps and dies
My card is 5″ X 7″ so I have a border of white around the cover plate die. This die is designed to fit an A2 sized card. To make the dots stand out, I ink blended various bright and festive colors on a plain sheet of white cardstock then layered the cover plate over it for these fun and bold jumbo dots.
I die cut the balloons and and ink blended pinks, oranges and greens over them using Distress Oxide inks in Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin and Twisted Citron. I splattered water on the ink to make the colors splotchy and more interesting. The orange balloon got some extra metallic gold stars stamped on it, too.
Khaki colored strings, hemp twine bows, sparkly confetti and paper streamers along with two sentiments were added to the design to complete the card. The pink and orange balloons as well as the “hooray!” phrase were attached using foam dots to make them stand out.
