I know what you’re thinking… winter has just begun so can we possibly be thinking about spring already? Well, I am actually using products from the Holiday Wishes release. The Seasonal Frame stamps and dies can be used for both winter, spring, summer and fall! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with a “heartfelt hello” greeting card. I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products for this greeting:

The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I cut the frame from brown cardstock, the twigs from kraft, and the bird, leaves, and berries from white cardstock. I colored the cuts using the following Copic Marker colors:

  • Bird: YR07, YR68, W8, W6, W3 and a white Gelly Roll pen
  • Greenery: G28, YG67, YG23, YG17, YG03
  • Twigs: E49, E44
  • Berries: R89, YR07, YR27, Y19 and a fine-tip black marker

To create the outside “window” landscape, I blended Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink on white cardstock using my Blender Brushes. I splattered water on the blended colors and blotted the drops to lift the ink. I cut a rectangle from the cardstock to fit the back of the frame. I glued the frame to the blended piece.

I wanted a more organic feel for the card background so I splattered on some watercolor paint in browns and metallic gold on the A7-sized card base front. I sprinkled in some brighter orange in the upper left and lower right corners, too. I attached the frame, greenery, twigs, and bird to the front panel and stamped “Heartfelt Hello” in the lower right corner in a brown espresso ink. Lastly, I attached a hemp twine bow to the left of the window to complete the card.
