Rustic Brick Wall Embossing Folder

Great Greetings: Holiday Honey Cuts dies

For the basics… my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started by adding a brick background for the house. I used the Rustic Brick Wall Embossing Folder for the texture. Then I ran a couple of Copic Markers across the brick to color it. I used W1, R00, BG000. Yes, I used pink and blue with a warm gray combination to blend with the window colors.

To make the holiday-themed window, I used a warm gray for the background of the window, added a brown roof and then I thought this window should have a light pink trim color to be quaint and sweet! The balcony was done in an light aqua blue. I assembled the tree with its ribbons and ornaments. I added the garland and trim pieces to the balcony. For the lighting in the window, I used Scattered Straw for the yellow lighting for around the tree background. I lightly color the ice using BG000 Copic Markers. I attached the window to the background using Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tabs. The Lovely Layers: Window Holiday Add-On – Honey Cuts dies turns this die set into a winter wonderland for the holidays!

Below this beautiful holiday-trimmed window, I added the “Happy Holidays” scripted sentiment using white for the background layer and red cardstock for the top layer. I glued the words to the bottom. Lastly, I splattered white paint all over the card front to complete this wintery look! I used Dr. PH Martens white paint and a fan brush (along with a little water to dilute it) to make the snowy scene.
