It’s time for another release at Simon Says Stamp! It’s called To the Moon and it is filled with lots of love and happiness for Valentine’s Day and the spring season. My three cards feature the following new products:

Sketched Garden Flowers – Hot Foil Plates and Outline Cutting Dies

Etched Butterfly die

So Much Love stamp set and coordinating die set (Bundle – Buy together)

Peonies and Leaves Stencil

My cards are A7 sized, measuring 5″ X 7″ and fit inside an A7 envelope. I’m using 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card fronts and card bases. Everything is stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink and/or Versamark (for heat embossed images) except where noted. Here’s the rest of the details…

Lovely in Lemon Card

For this lovely lemon-colored card, I used Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks with the Peonies and Leaves Stencil. The colors were bright so I layered vellum over the stencil design to soften the background.

I die cut a square out of metallic gold cardstock and used the negative space to create the gold frame, cutting 1/4″ around the open space. the frame outer size is 3-3/4″ square. You could simply mat a white square using metallic gold paper, too. I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed the “Love” from the So Much Love stamp set using gold embossing powder on white cardstock. I  framed the white with the gold frame. I attached the square to the center of the landscape-oriented card using Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares.

I die cut the butterfly from a yellow-gold cardstock, added metallic gold accents using Pearl Pen in metallic gold and attached the butterfly to the frame on the right side. I used Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares to make the butterfly stand out. Sequins in a soft ivory finished the look.

Garden Butterfly Card

For my next card, I used the large “love” script and printed words from the So Much Love stamp set  to create the background pattern on the pink cardstock. I used Honey Bee Stamps no-line coloring ink to stamp the words.

Next, I hot foiled the Sketched Garden images using my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System and rose gold foil. I foiled on white and a pink cardstock. I die cut the images and the Etched Butterfly die from white.

Everything was assembled and secured  in place using Bee Creative Precision Glue and Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares adding some sequins to complete the look.

Love Birthday Card

For my last card, I used a 3-1/4″ double-stitched edge square die cut with for the background of this magnificent butterfly.

For the background, I stenciled the Peonies and Leaves Stencil with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. I also splattered metallic gold paint over the stencil using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors (48).

I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed the “Love” and “on your birthday” phrase from the So Much Love stamp set using gold embossing powder on white cardstock. There are dies to die cut the word, however I do not have the die set (It’s on my list.) so I cut the scripted word out by hand. and attached them to the card to complete it. I added faux brads to the phrase strip using Pearl Pen in bronze.
