Hello friends! I have a fun card that not only includes images of comfort items, but also all the feels of a cozy, handmade, crocheted heart. Guess who made it? JANE made it! When Jane’s Doodles ships orders, she often includes a crocheted heart to the package. Today’s card was inspired by Jane’s latest heart I received. It’s a beautiful and unusual color green. It matches Copic Sketch G16 color. I am pairing this sweet heart with the Hygge Time stamp set.

My card measures 5″ X 7″ and is made from 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used a warm gray cardstock for 2/3rds of the card front. I splattered on various greens, metallic gold and white watercolors to the cardstock for this fun, organic look. Above the gray, I added a couple of scraps of Honey Bee Stamps pattern paper to create the background. Some faux stitching finished off the look.

I stamped the images from the Hygge Time stamp set in black, colored them to match the greens, cut them out and added them to the card front, carefully overlapping and displaying them in an interesting vignette. For the sweater, I made a faux chain to “hang” the sweater on in the display. I also added the crocheted heart made by Jane, hanging it lower and integrating it with the ball of yarn above. I added the extra leftover yarn/string to glue to the yarn ball for a fun effect.

The “Happy Birthday” script (SSS or HBS) was stamped in Versamark, embossed in gold and die cut using the coordinating die (SSS or HBS). I added the word to the front, over the heart string, using Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares. Finally, a few sequins were added for some soft sparkle to match the “Happy Birthday” script and background.

Inside the card, I added a phrase from Honey Bee Stamp set, Inside Sentiments: Birthday (SSS or HBS) It just fit with the card front. It’s now ready to send!
