Hello friends! I have been a busy little elf making handmade tags. It’s Bobbi here with six tags featuring Honey Bee Stamps Holiday Wishes Release products. I’ve got tags for the deer hunters and nature lovers, winter weather lovers, naughty and nice peeps, and the holiday traditionalists, too!
SALE ALERT! Save on dies on Cyber Monday, 2023! I’m using many of the new dies from the Holiday Wishes Release. The Cyber Monday deal is buy one die set and get the second die set for 50% off! I’ve listed the products I used for each set of tags below the photos. I’m also sharing some tips, too!
Just a quick note before I share these tags… The featured projects below are made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the white tag bases and die cuts. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. When I want more dimension, I use Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. They come in black and white and 1/16th thickness and 1/8th thickness.
Holiday Traditions Tags
What’s says Christmas more than candy canes, holy, evergreens and bows? These tags use a red, green and white theme and feature all the joy Christmas brings! To make these tags, I used the following products:
Lovely Layers: Candy Canes Honey Cuts dies
Holly Border Honey Cuts dies and Holly Border Stencil (Set of 2 Coordinating Stencils)
Peace Love Joy stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies
Holiday Wishes paper pad for the backgrounds of both tags
Stacking Banners Honey Cuts dies
I used the largest banner from the Stacking Banners Honey Cuts dies for this tag’s base. I attached the holly border to the top of the banner using 1/2″, 1/8th depth foam tabs to make it stand out. I used Copic Markers in R89, R46 and R17 to color in the PEACE letters. I splattered the tag with Dr. PH Marten’s white ink to create the snowflakes.
I used Ranger Grit Paste and glitter to add snow to the candy cane, holly and evergreen leaves. For the rectangular tag, I clipped the corners of a rectangle to make the tag base. I add a “to/from” to the backs of all my tags. I colored in the letters and used my white gel pen to add a few dots in the colored areas of the letters for more interest.
Deer Hunters and Nature Lovers’ Tags
Evergreens, trees and snow… all in shades of green and naturals, create a beautiful habitat for these deer. These tags would be perfect for our favorite nature lovers and deer hunters, too. I used the following products:
Lovely Layers: Deer Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Candy Canes Honey Cuts dies (for the evergreens)
Stacking Pennants Honey Cuts dies (for the tag bases)
Holiday Wishes Pearl Gem Stickers
I turned the Stacking Pennants Honey Cuts dies upside down to create the evergreen trees from pattern paper for this tag. I glued evergreen sprigs to the tree bases for a whimsical touch. I attached the deer and tree using 1/2″, 1/8th depth foam tabs. I attached pearls to the front tree and splattered on some white ink for snow.
For a simpler tag, I used two smaller pennant dies, to cut metallic gold cardstock and pattern paper to make the tree base. I glued evergreen sprigs in black, cream and gold for a background to the deer head. I cut the head/antlers from black and cream cardstock. I attached the head using foam tabs to stand out from the background. I splattered on the white ink for snow.
Naughty and Nice Tags
Who is naughty and who is nice on your list? I have a tag for both. I’m using the following products:
Naughty List Vintage Gift Card Box Add-On stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies
Holiday Treats Vintage Gift Card Box Add-On stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies
Scattered Stars A2 Cover Plate Honey Cuts die
Lovely Layers: Candy Canes Honey Cuts dies
For the naughty tag, I used the Scattered Stars A2 Cover Plate Honey Cuts die to cut the black background and layered it over a gold cardstock for the gold stars. I used Copic cool grays to color in the lumps of coal. I added some sparkle using my silver sparkle gel pen. All the sentiments are from the Naughty List Vintage Gift Card Box Add-On stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies. This is a quick one!
For the nice tag, I stamped, colored and die cut the candies, cookies and candy cane from the Holiday Treats Vintage Gift Card Box Add-On stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies. Evergreens and holly leaves were also added to the striped tag.
