Hello there! I’m excited to share another set of projects using Scrappy Tails products. This company is known for it’s 3D dies among other things. I’m guest designing this month and love all the fun new products they sent me to use. I loved the stuff I received and wanted to make a few tags with this cute penguin and bear set. I’m using the following items:
Penguin & Polar Bear Add-On Die for Pumpkin Pop Up
Christmas Party Pattern Paper Pad
Christmas Party stamp set and coordinating dies
For my first gift tag, I used the penguin from the Penguin & Polar Bear Add-On Die for Pumpkin Pop Up. While this set is an “add-on” set for the pop up, I think it is really cute and deserved to also be used on a gift tag. My simple tag was cut from pattern paper included in the Christmas Party Pattern Paper Pad.
To create this tag, I die cut the faces, scarf, had and accessories and attached them together. I attached the penguin to the tag using 3/4″ sized 1/16″ thick foam tabs. I also added some pompom trim to the bottom of the tag and a pompom on the top of the stocking cap. I added more snowflakes to the background by die cutting white ones using the Snowflake Lace Add-On Die. I attached a iridescent string to the top. The sentiment from the Christmas Party stamp set was stamped in black at the bottom.
For the second tag, I did many of the same things as tag 1, but using the bear face instead. I added gem stickers to the hat. I also added two coordinating gifts in the lower right corner using the Christmas Party stamp set and dies. I found the pompoms and pompom trim at our local fabric store.
I can’t wait to try some 3D items from Scrappy Tails so stay tuned!
