There’s a new challenge over at the Inky Paw Challenge page. It’s a color challenge this time using some really pretty colors – yellow, white, aqua blue and a pretty yellow-green. See below for the mood board for Challenge #97.
I used the following sets to make my inspiration card:
- Cozy Campers stamp and die set
- Foxy Hollow (for the tree, only)
- Cloudy Sky Stencil
- Thankful Thoughts stamp set
I started by creating clouds in the sky for the background using distressed ink in Mermaid Lagoon. I layered more clouds using the Cloudy Sky Stencil. Next, I stamped, colored and die cut the Camper, daisies and table/chairs image from the set.
I added dimensional foam behind the camper to make it “pop” off the pags. After positioning the camper on the card front, I stamped the trees to the side. I added some grass using Copics in YG03, YG01 and YG67. My card is a 5″ X 7″ card so I had a lot of space for this simple scene so I added the green cardstock band at the bottom to fill in some white space. I like the clean look it provides.
The daisy banner was added by adhering them in a flowing line from the camper to the trees. I positioned the table and chair set in front of the evergreens. The phrase and hearts were added to the sky area. Lastly, I wanted a bit more black for contrast on the front so I used a marker to create simple double stitching lines to the top and bottom and a line of stitching at the top of the green band. The faux stitched lines help connect the card together.
This card makes me happy. I actually want to camp in this adorable camper!
