It’s the last week to participate in the Inky Paws Challenge #111. Link a card by Friday, 11/29 to participate. One lucky winner will be randomly chosen to win a $20 store credit to Newton’s Nook Designs. It’s a sketch challenge and here is the sketch for this week.
To make my challenge inspiration card, I used the following Newton’s Nook products:
- Ornamental Wishes stamp set
- Pines and Holly Die Set
To create the card, I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock square. I die cut the pine branches in two colors of green and adhered them in a circular wreath design around the sentiment. I also die cut red berries and attached them to the wreath. The entire white square was matted with a gold cardstock. I added foam to the back of it and matted it with a tan cardstock, sandwiching a wide striped ribbon in between to follow the sketch to the left. This layered design was adhered to a piece of green cardstock. I used a fine tip black marker and ruler and created some line bordering on the green piece and attached the design to a white card base to complete the card. This traditional holiday card is a 5″ X 7″ size.
Below are some close-ups of my inspiration card. Now it’s your turn to join us for the challenge. Can’t wait to see what you create!

This is fabulous! I love the way you created your own wreath with the die cuts! It’s perfect to surround that fun sentiment and the ribbon is the perfect finishing touch!
