Hello Summer stamp set and Hello Summer die set
Farmers Market Clay Bits (Too Cute!)
This Tiki Bar is fully stocked with essential cocktails, lemonade, slushies and more. There’s a chalkboard menu board to the left of the bar. The wood “Tiki Bar” brand sign, drinks and flower garland on the thatched roof made from the super cute Farmers Market Clay Bits are fresh and ready to enjoy this summer!
On the other side of the bar, there’s a tip jar on the distressed wood counter, an “open” sign and a sign pointing to the beach. I used a faux wood pattern paper from the Home Essentials 6″ X 6″ paper pad for the wood frames and counter. Now let’s see what’s behind this festive bar…
When the card is opened, a bright, beach scene, complete with a floral umbrella and wide-striped canvas beach chairs from the Hello Summer stamp and die sets is revealed. This beach scene is flanked with palm trees and accessories from the Beach Add-On stamp and die sets. The beach scene background is a 6″ X 6″ pattern paper from the Beach Vibes Paper Pad. It’s a super easy way to create the perfect beach scene in seconds! 🙂 The inside front panel was covered with paper from the Hot Tropics Paper Pad. The two phrases from the Hello Summer stamp set were heat embossed in white on the bright orange/red pattern paper. This paper pad has lots of fresh, bright papers and fruit-themed ones, too!
Here’s a side view of the beach scene so you can see the dimension the card has when opened. The beach chairs, umbrella and other foreground images pop out and down.
Here’s a video demonstrating the card…
How to make this card
This 5″ X 7″ landscape card incorporates the House Builder Card Base die set (the basic house die set) plus the new beach add-on accessories. The card front is in the shape of the House Builder die and the card back panel is a basic 5″ X 7″ panel. The two pieces are hinged together at the top roof line. The front house panel was extended at the bottom to be a total of 5″ tall to match the interior panel height. In addition, the interior panel has a 1-1/4″ lip that folds up at the bottom. I cut the cardstock 7″ wide X 8-1/2″ tall and scored at 7″ to create the back panel and flap.
The support box for the interior pop-up feature is adhered to the back scene panel and the fold-down flap at the bottom. This folded flap section is necessary in order to have the pop-up element inside. To make the support box for the foreground pop-up feature, I used a 1/2″ strip of white cardstock and scored at 1/2″, 1″, 1-1/2″ and 2″ to make it. The entire card fits in an A7 sized envelope for easy mailing.
