My card for the MFT Sketch Challenge no. 410 this week uses Geometric Greenery. I love the clean lines of the leaves and decided to play off of that in this 5″ X 7″ card design. I like how the bright tones of the feature leaves look against the very strong black and white, high-contrast background on the inside of the card. It has a mid-century vibe to it which I really love. In fact, I allowed the green leaf to waterfall over the background to connect the outside and the inside (very similar to mid-century design that brings the outdoor inside!) Small dots of black soften the lines and allow some movement in the design, too.
This set has some awesome phrases including the one I used, “Infinitely Grateful.” I thought it was only appropriate to share my gratitude just one week before Thanksgiving. The inside of this card has ample white space to write a note of thanks to someone. I plan to send this one to my sister and simply thank her for her beautiful spirit. She’s going through some medical issues now and a card may just brighten her day a bit!
