I had some really pretty extra watercolor backgrounds that I thought would go so well with the Simon Says Stamp Spring Seeds stamp set. I decided to make some tags today with them. It’s nice to have some colorful tags on hand. I like to add a cute tag to a housewarming or hostess gift and to birthday presents. Tags can also be used in place of a card, for a more casual style.
Along with the Spring Seeds stamp set, I used the Hero Arts Infinity Nesting Tag dies to cut a front and back for each tag. Each tag has a different coordinating color on the back side. You could add a note or to/from to it. The tag front backgrounds were created using watercolors with watercolor paper. The stamped designs were colored using Copic Sketch Markers and cut out. There are matching dies for this stamp, too. I do not own the dies so I just fussy cut each one out. I stamped a different phrase on each design banner. Lastly, I added coordinating ribbons, sequins and faux stitching to them to finish them off.
Here’s a close up of each tag.
Easter is April 21 this year. It’s time to get out your bunny stamps and spring flowers and make up some tags for your hostess gifts and special baskets and place cards for your dinner table. I hope I’ve inspired you!
Thanks for visiting. Have a very Spring-like day!
