It’s a new Newton’s Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge at InkyPawsChallenge.com. This challenge is a sketch challenge using a tag design on the card front. You have until Friday, October 11, 2019 to link your project(s) for a chance to win.
My inspiration card for Challenge #108 features the Holding Happiness stamp and die sets. This card includes a gift and one big tag full of many wishes! To make this card, I started by stamping, coloring and die cutting the feature image. I added a craft foam backing to the design. I also die cut a tag design, and stamped a phrase and some flowers from the stamps set. The image and tag were set aside while I worked on the background.
To make the background, I started by speckling the background using pink, yellow, and brown watercolor paint. I added black faux stitching lines around the edges using a fine, black tip marker. I also added some layered scallop edges at the bottom in two colors of yellow and pink. A pink stitched ribbon was added to follow the sketch.
The card was assembled to match the sketch and simple shading and edging was added around the components. Lastly, the card front was attached to a warm grey 5″ X 7″ card base. Now it’s your turn to create a card following the sketch. If you use Newton’s Nook Designs products, you have a chance to win a $20 store credit. Winner is chosen randomly. Details of the challenge can be found at Inky Paws.
See you over at the Challenge. I can’t wait to see what you create!
