CZ Designs Reverse Love Sentiment Strips (from the Love you More release)
To make this card, I started by sponging Ranger Distressed Inks in Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet and Peacock Feathers on my Neenah 80lb cardstock 5″ X 7″ card front. I also did the same on another smaller piece of cardstock and die cut the “miss you” from it. While the ink was drying, I die cut the miss you background from black cardstock and from 4mm black Darice craft foam. The two layers were glued together along with the “miss you” top layer and set aside. I found a few phrases that I liked from the CZ Designs Reverse Love Sentiment Strips to go with the “miss you” focal point and cropped them to use. I also die cut the snowflake design in white 80lb cardstock.
Next, I stamped the Heart Garland Background Stamp using Versamark for a subtle design. I wanted this card to read more like a Valentine so instead of using the snowflake as is, I used it as a background for the “miss you” phrase. I die cut a circle just a bit smaller than the snowflake from the card front and secured my snowflake behind it as well as an aqua piece of cardstock for background color. White stitching using my gel pen was added around the circle and to the ends of the black reverse out sentiment strips. Everything was secured in place including small colored heart clay bits for extra detail. This finished size 5″ X 7″. This card could be used for Valentine’s Day or any day of the year with its colorful design.
