It’s Day 1 of the Honey Bee Stamps “Bee Mine” Release. I’m sharing three cards today featuring new product in the release. These products are available now! I’ll have convenient links below to make shopping easy peasy once they are available.
To keep the post short, I’ve created a post for each card. Here’s the first post of three today… Bee Mine. Link to the next two cards can be found here: Blown Away Balloon Card and Rainbow Cloud Card.
My first card features the Bee Mine stamp set and die set. Friends – this is the FREEBIE stamp and die sets for this release! Shop and this one could be yours FREE!!!!!! I think this bee is absolutely adorable. It comes with the Bee Mine phrase, hearts and more. The coordinating die set makes it easy to cut out, too!
For this 5″ X 7″ sized card, I started with 3/4″ strips of three shades of coral for the background, allowing the white card base to show through between each strip. A medium-sized pierced heart was layered on top. (The stacking pierced hearts will be shared tomorrow in sneak peeks so stay tuned!) The heart was shaded on the edge for more dimension using a slightly darker salmon color. I also added some yellow, too.
Next, I stamped the adorable bee, die cut the image and colored it with Copics. The bee was attached using an Action Wobble. I used the regular size. Honey Bee Stamps offers the mini size Action Wobbles. This little miss bee flies! How cute is that?! She wobbles side-to-side. So cute. 🙂
Lastly, I added little white dots using my white gel pen and added a bit of gray shading in C5 and C3 below each dot to make them look dimensional. I also added black stitching around the heart using a fine-tip black marker for more contrast. This card is now complete!
