Window Wreath Card
My Insta Hop card is a 5″ X 7″ peek-through window card featuring products from the Holiday Cheer release by Honey Bee Stamps:
Plaid A7 Cover Plate Base Honey Cuts
Country Christmas Wreath die set (There is a coordinating stamp set. I did not use it for this card, however.)
Pretty Poinsettia stamp and die sets
Holiday Cheer 6″ X 6″ Paper Pad
I’m using the Plaid A7 Cover Plate as a “window” on the card front. This card uses a clear acetate sheet that is sandwiched between two identical A7 Plaid Cover Plate die cuts from warm gray cardstock that are hinged to the card back panel. That is, the 1/4″ hinge is part of the back panel (the back panel measures 5-1/4″ X 7″ tall) and sandwiched between the identical cover plates. It looks seamless from outside and inside since the hinge is completely covered up.
To two plaid die cut pieces are necessary to finish the inside. Having two plaid cuts, covers any adhesive or glue inside as well as the hinge for a clean look. I also like the look of the clear acetate in between because it gives a shiny appearance to the front and the inside due to light reflection. You would not have to use the acetate, however. It could be just open! I think adding a message inside or a handwritten note would look so cool, showing through the “window” from the outside.
The large wreath, and the individual evergreen and leafy branches from the Christmas Country Wreath die set were die cut from three green colors of cardstock. I cut the berry bunches out of a natural ivory cardstock and colored in the berries using Copic Markers, RV99, RV69, RV11 for a maroon red berry and the branch portion using E59.
I used the same berry colors to color in the pretty bow from the Pretty Poinsettia stamp and die sets. For the evergreen branches, I simply drew in a branch using my E57 Copic Marker. The coordinating stamp set does have a stamp image to do this. I realized that after I hand drew them in. 🙂
I added a little phrase, Peach on Earth from one of the pattern papers from the Holiday Cheer 6″ X 6″ Paper Pad and adhered it inside the wreath opening. You could also add three letters, JOY using the Tailgate Alphabet dies or the Joy script die. Both would be very pretty if you were going to make many of these for your holiday card. Lastly, I added some glitter to each berry and adhered Ballet Slippers confetti mix to the wreath for extra sparkle. 🙂

Wow. truly beautiful ! I love all the details on your card. 🙂
That bright magenta bow really sets off the otherwise muted color palette. I like it!
Wow! Beautiful card and the stunning bow…amazing.
I really like the wreath and the bow is quite beautiful – well-colored.
