Hello friends! I’m back today with another card featuring Penguin Palace Stamps. Today’s happy-colored card can be used for the upcoming holidays. However, with a simple change of the sentiment from the SAME set, this card could be turned into a birthday, encouragement, thinking of you or thank you card, too. I’m using the following Penguin Palace Stamps products on this card:

Warmest Wishes stamp set

Warmest Wishes and Heartfelt Notes Penguin Perfect Cuts

Classic Diamonds Backdrop Stand Alone Die

Crystal Snowflakes Stencil – Penguin Perfect Patterns

For my 5″ X 7″ card, I started by creating circles of all different sizes using Distressed Inks in Picked Raspberry, Lemon Squeeze, Peeled Paint, Carved pumpkin and Mermaid Lagoon on a letter size piece of 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock (I use this cardstock for all layers on this card to keep the overall weight normal.) I used a stencil of circles to apply the ink in the shapes. I allowed some circles to be blended right on top or overlap another. Next, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using this lovely Classic Diamonds Backdrop Stand Alone Die (love it!) and attached it to the inked cardstock piece using HBS Precision Glue, I cropped the layered piece to fit on the bottom two thirds to a half area of my white 5″ X 7″ card base front and adhered the pieces together. Faux stitches in gray were added to the layered bottom half. I love the organic mix of color showing through the die cuts on the bottom half of this card. It’s so pretty in these fun colors!

For the top half of my card, I took the remaining piece of inked cardstock and die cut 7 stitched squares to cover the top half of my card base using the stitched square die from the Warmest Wishes and Heartfelt Notes Penguin Perfect Cuts. I adhered them to the top half of the card using more HBS Precision Glue, allowing the circles of color to butt up to each other organically. Once I had them in place, I used Nuvo Glacier Paste in Frostbite (this stuff is so pretty!) in a light blue-aqua color to stencil on a few shimmery snowflakes for the holidays. I love how this turned out and I love this paste! I also added a few drops of Glitter Pen in raspberry, too.

To finish my card, I used Memento ink In Rose Bud to stamp the circular sentiment, Happy Holidays. I die cut it using the coordinating die and also matted it using the scallop edge die from the Warmest Wishes and Heartfelt Notes Penguin Perfect Cuts. I die cut a scallop edge circle from vellum and one from white cardstock. I like the two layered together for a softer appearance. I added Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares to the back of the stamped sentiment and attached it to the scallop-edged circle. The layered sentiment circle was then attached to the card front.  A little sparkly string with a bow was adhered in place around the sentiment to finish the look.

Again, you can shop these products at Penguin Palace Stamps.
