Hello, Friends! Today, I have a Valentine slimline card featuring new products from the latest release, Sending Smooches. Today’s card features the following new products:

To create this slimline card measuring 8-1/2′ wide X 3-1/2″ tall, I die cut the heart trio using the Slimline Wide Heart Trio die card front and added pattern paper in gold behind each heart, alternating the patterns from small to large to small hearts, using both back and front sides of the cardstock. Yes, this cardstock has two designs on each sheet!

I stamped the cute gnome on white 80lb cardstock and also on the same gold pattern paper used in the three hearts so that I could cut out the smaller heart in the gnome’s hand to match and adhere it to the colored gnome. (See photo.) I colored the gnome using Copic Markers in the following colors:

  • Beard and arrows: C7, C5, C3, C1
  • Skin: E04, E11, E000, E00
  • Hat/clothe: R89, R46, R29, R17, R14
  • Wings: BG000
Stamp the heart image on pattern paper, fussy cut and adhere to your colored image for a perfectly matching heart!

I stamped, die cut and attached the phrase to the front panel. Now on to the inside of this card…

Inside the card, I added the new word die phrase, “heart of gold” cut from the gold pattern paper. I needed to complete the phrase, so I did some clever stamping/cutting to create the beginning of the phrase, “We love your” using words from other stamp sets. There are multiple sets in this release that use the same font style so this was not hard. I also used “Happy Valentine’s Day” from the stamp set, Sending Smooches and added the heart border in white at the bottom using the Slimline Sweetheart Panel Die. I simply cut down the die cut to create the border size (See photo). I filled the last heart in gold to connect the inside to the front panel and “gold” sentiment.

Cut the Slimline Sweethearts panel into strips to create fun borders from your die!
