Today is Day 3 of the Spring Bliss sneak peeks at Honey Bee Stamps! The release goes live on Tuesday, 2/16 around or before 10:00 PM CST. I’m sharing the following new products by Honey Bee Stamps:

You are going to absolutely love this beautiful dimensional lily and perfect fit wood frame die sets. All of the sets in this release are perfect for your Spring cards and Easter wishes!

Wooden Cross Card

For this 5″ X 7″ card, I used the frame die set to create this rustic wood cross. Instead of creating a frame, I put the long sides together of two sizes of frame pieces together to create the cross with pointed ends. I colored the wood textured cross using Copics in E57, E55, E43 and E15 to show off the graining. Behind the cross, I used the Quartrefoil A2 Coverplate Top die and Base die to create the pretty design. The background was die cut from ivory cardstock. and the top layer was cut from watercolor paper that had a soft green wash on it.

For the lily petals, I brushed on yellow, gold and green watercolors on Canson XL water color paper. I also splattered gold metallic watercolor paint over the yellow / green paints. Once the paper dried, I die cut the lily and leafy pieces and glued the layers together using Honey Bee Stamps’ exclusive Bee Creative Precision Tip Glue.

I added the full bloom and bud to the cross. I added leaves around it. I like all the imperfect variation of color on the petals and leaves by using watercolor paints. I die cut the stamen stem die from charcoal gray cardstock.

Finally, I added the phrase from the He is Risen stamp and coordinating die sets to finish the card.
