Hello friends! Here’s a quick 5″ X 7″ card made using one of the new sets by Paperie Ink. It’s called Bug for a Hug. The set is filled with whimsical leaves and lots of little lady bugs in all different positions.
I used vibrant yellow-greens for the leaves and reds and grays for the lady bugs. Copic Colors Used:
- Leaves: YG67, YG17, YG03, and YG00
- Lady Bugs: R89, R29, R17, and R14 and C5, C3 and C1
After I stamped and colored in all the leaves on the card front, I sprinkled on black watercolor paint using water, paint and a small watercolor fan brush. I painted the bugs using the colors listed above, fussy cut them and positioned them on the leaves and background.
I heat embossed in white on black cardstock the phrase from the set. I also added a small piece of black and white pattern paper below the phrase strip to finish the card.
