Now for my card today, I’m using the following stamps:
Summer Sun Card
This card measures 5″ X 7″ and I used Neenah 80lb Solar White Smooth cardstock for the front panel and the card base. I always do a separate front panel since my Copics bleed. I stenciled the sun using a stencil by Simon Says Stamp called, Slimline Sun Rays and Mustard Seed Distressed Oxide Ink. I free-hand colored the water and sandy shore as well as the grassy area. I used a white gel pen and fine tip black marker to create the shell bits in the sand for texture.
The characters were all stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black ink on Neenah 80lb and colored using Copics. I fussy cut them and added them to the scene, shaving off the bottom of the floating tube to make it look like it is immersed in the water. I used the following Copic colors for coloring this card:
- Sand: E43, E42, E50, W2
- Water: BG000, BG00, B00, B01
- Grasses: YG67, YG63, YG61
- Towel: B39, B02, B00, B000
- Swimsuits/inflatables: YR07, YR68, Y38, Y19, Y15, B39, B02, B00, B000, C3, C1
- Animals: E44, E43, E42, E57, E55, E50, C5, C3, C1
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in the top, righthand corner to complete this card.
