Hi Honey Bee friends. I’m happy to be participating in the Honey Bee Stamps Summer Stems Instagram Hop. There is a lot of beautiful inspiration using the Summer Stems release, the latest release available now for purchase.

Here’s your chance to win – Honey Bee Stamps will be doing two $25 gift cards as a giveaway, drawn from comments on the hop.

I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Market Cart Builder Honey Cuts

Miss You Big Time stamp set and coordinating die set

Flower Cart Birthday Card

For this 5″ X 7″ card, I used a aqua blue cardstock for the background and splattered Dr. Ph Martin’s Bleed Proof white paint on the front using a little water and fan paintbrush. While the paint dried, I worked on the market cart.

I cut all the cart pieces and began piecing together the cart. For the cart body, I used a natural cardstock and added faux wood graining to it using Copics in E57, E55, E53, E43 and a fine-tip black marker. I also added some white distressed marks using my white gel pen.

The awning was created by die cutting the valance pieces in white and lavender and individually cutting and gluing the stripes together to make it striped. I love how this turned out. I added another plain white scalloped valance beneath it, too.

All the flowers, leaves and flower pails were die cut from Neenah 80lb cardstock in white. I colored the pails using C9, C7, C5, C3 and C1. The leaves were die cut from two colors of green and I added some accenting to them using YG67, YG63 and YG61. I assembled the pails and added  foam tabs under one flower of each pail for dimension. The flowers were colored using various colors of Copics. The wheel spokes were cut in white and the tire in black and added to the cart.

The “Happy birthday” phrase was stamped in black on a light orchid cardstock and die cut. The phrase, “and many more” was also stamped and cropped in a rectangle shape. The cart and phrases were positioned and adhered on the card front. I used foam tabs under the “hb” scripted words.
