Card 1: Thank you For Being A Friend

For this 5″ X 7″ card, I paired the Large Raindrops stencil with the Thank you for being a friend die. I used Distressed Oxide Inks to blend blue and greens for the verse. For the raindrops, I used Unicorn White pigment ink on navy cardstock and positioned it slightly on the diagonal. Later, I splattered white paint over the inked drops.

I used daisies from the stamp set, Fairytale Spinners from a previous release. I colored them in using Copic Sketch Markers in YG00, YG01, B05, Boo, BG13 and BG11. White iridescent sequins were glued to the front to finish the look.

Card 2: Just Because XOXO

This is another 5″ X 7″ card and it uses the new XOXO Background stamp. I stamped the design on 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock using a brighter, medium blue ink. I added a few punched cardstock dots in aqua and yellow to some of the letter O openings.

I added a navy blue border at the bottom and sewed a double zigzag stitch design in white thread using my sewing machine. If you don’t have a machine, you can draw white faux stitches using a Uni-bell Signo White Gel Pen, too!  I added the Just Because phrase that was released in the last I Love You release. The shadow was die cut in white and the letters in a vibrant yellow. The phrase was adhered using Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares to make it pop off the page. I love the blue/yellow combo this card offers.

Card 3: Rainbows Will Be Back

For my slimline card measuring 3-1/2″ wide X 8-1/2″ tall, I stenciled the raindrops on the blue cardstock using Blueprint Sketch Distressed Oxide Ink. I love this stencil because it is very large – large enough to cover a slimline card (measures 6″ wide X 9-1/4″ tall). Once the ink dried, I used Copic markers in B34, B32 and B39 to accentuate the drops. I also used a Signo Uni-ball white gel pen for highlights on each drop and additional tiny drops in between the big drops.

I heat embossed in white on a navy cardstock strip, a phrase from the stamp set, You Got This stamp set. This is such a nice stamp set to have in your stash. It has wonderful encouragement phrases. I attached the blue sentiment strip to the card front by sewing each side edge together. A simple leafy stem from the Be Kind die set was cut from Canson XL Bristol Smooth watercolor paper inked with yellow-greens and splattered with blue watercolor paint (using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors (48)) and tucked in behind the strip phrase.
