I’m using a new set by Paperie Ink called, But First for this feel better soon card today. While the stamp set is coffee-themed, I thought it would also be a fun set for a get well soon card. Complete with fluffy pillows, soup mugs in hand and plants to make one feel better, this set has all the elements for a caring card!
To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started with 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card front panel (5″ wide X 7″ tall) and the card base (10″ wide X 7″ tall, scored down the middle at 5″). I die cut the Outlined Circles by Waffle Flower Crafts from white cardstock and attached it 1/3 down from the top of the front panel. I also die cut the design from Gingham Galore paper by Honey Bee Stamps and inserted them into the circle designs. My extra circles were added above and below the die cut, too. These papers have different designs on the back so two sheets/cuts create four looks!
I stamped and colored the animals and accessories from the But First set and added them to the front. I popped a few up using Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares. I used a Uni-bell Signo White Gel Pen to add some faux stitches around a few of the circles. I also added some spots/dots using Copics in YR00, BG10 and a fine-tip black marker around the designs. Finally, I stamped the “feel better soon” speech bubble from the Lawn Fawn set called, “Chit Chat” on the front of the card.
