Hello friends! We’re having a creative hop on Instagram today to celebrate the Honey Bee Stamps new release called, Vintage Holiday. The design team members will be sharing lots of ideas and creative uses for the new products from this release. Honey Bee Stamps will be giving away two $25 gift cards with winners being drawn from comments on the hop! Fun, right?! You can start your hop here at my IG page – @BobbiHartDesign – and follow along. I share the full list with links.
For my hop projects, I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products from the Vintage Holiday release:
Hug in a Mug stamp set and coordinating die set
These festive, yummy tags are so fun to make and decorate. From whip cream to beautiful swirls and candy canes, you get all the fixin’s for some pretty special holiday drinks. I had so much fun making them.
You can add the perfect sentiment on the back or a simple to/from, too. I plan to use these for holiday gifts so I made mine into tags that you can simply turn over for the to/from. However, you could latch the front and back panels together and make these into mini gift cards as well.
Here’s a close up of the first two mugs. Notice the fun whip cream. I like to use E50-E53 Copic Marker colors to further define the cream. Those cute strawberries are from the Chocolate Covered Strawberries sequin mix. The two-layer candy canes are made from dies in the Mugs and Kisses die set. I added chocolate bits on the cream and red dots on the cup using Copics in E57 and R29, respectively.
For the aqua mug, I used mirror cardstock to create the spoon. How cute is that spoon?! With its embossing lines, you get the look of real metal! The “hug in a mug” phrase and swirl design are from the Hug in a Mug stamp set and coordinating die set. The tag and snowflake accessories are from the Mugs and Kisses die set. I used my white Gelly Roll pen for the faux stitch accent on the cup.
The mug die set comes with a little tag. This could be used as a tea bag, too. I used mine as a tag and added a cute candy cane to it. The drink swirls in the cup were heat embossed using white embossing powder on a medium brown cardstock color, resembling the liquid. The two-layer candy cane and snowflake are part of the Mugs and Kisses die set.
For the pink cup, I added a big red heart to the cup and yummy marshmallows to the hot chocolate. The marshmallows, spoon, and heart are all from the Mugs and Kisses die set.
I used Gingham Galore: Holiday 6″ X 6″ paper pad for the pattern heart on the aqua cup. I used my white Gelly Roll pen for the faux stitch accent around the heart. The marshmallows are also part of the set and come in two sizes. They are ridiculously cute! To color the latte inside the aqua cup, I used the E50-E57 colors for the mixture.
I added baker’s twine string to each tag to finish them. I can tape them on to my package using the twine, while allowing the tags to be turned over to read the message on the back.
I now have six tags done and ready to use on my holiday gifts. I love these tags and can’t wait to pair them with my holiday wrap. Yes, I have wrap that include some of these fun accessories to match! These would also be cute paired with aqua/white striped paper, silver snowflakes, red candy cane wrap and more!
