With New Years around the corner and birthdays each month, it’s time for a drink or two…or five! This 5″ X 7″ card features the Cheers die set and the Simply Sentimental-Happy stamp set by Trinity Stamps.
This card measures 5″ X 7″ and fits inside an A7 envelope. I’m using 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card card base and Canson XL Bristol watercolor paper for the card front. Here’s the details.
Applying my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors (48) in a rainbow array, I added the watercolor for the background. To get the depth of color, I applied several layers of watercolor paint.
I die cut the two styles of glassware out of white cardstock to layer on top. I used Copics to apply a light color wash to the die cut inserts. I clipped the inserts a bit to show a slightly filled cup. I added Silver Satin Baubles for “bubbles” to three of the glasses.
Lastly, I stamped in black, “happy birthday” at the bottom and drew a line at the top and bottom using a fine-tip black marker. I also added small black open circles at the top and bottom.
