Here’s a fun valentine card for inspiration. I’m using Hero Arts Intense Black ink and 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock on this card.

Sending Love Card

My first card uses this amazing and beautiful Layering Heart Mandala set stencil for the backdrop. I used Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink, applying more ink in the center of the design and fading out to the edges. Love this stencil look with this color of ink! I stamped the “sending love” scripted phrase in the lower right hand corner using Hero Arts Intense Black ink

I die cut the Piece of My Heart wafer die out of a turquoise and a poppy red cardstock. I splattered white paint over both pieces using Dr. Ph Marten’s Bleed Proof paint. The pieces were attached to the card front panel using Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares.

I stamped, fussy cut and colored the cute animal images from the Love You stamp set. I used the following Copics to color the animals: W5, W3, W1, R20, R22, R29, R27, R17, R14, 100, C3 and C5. I attached the animals behind and in front of the heart. I added 1/4″ strips in turquoise and a narrow gingham pattern in red/white on the top and bottom to match the heart in the middle. Finally, I added blue-green sequins on the front and attached the card front to a white card base.
