Here’s a sympathy card for inspiration. I’m using Hero Arts Intense Black ink and 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock on this card. I use Simon Says Stamp Dot Runner Tape Adhesive to attach the elements together. s
With Sympathy Card
To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started with a warm gray card front panel and attached the A2-sized Exotic Vines embossed white panel to upper center. I added stitch lines around it in a purple color using a fine-tip felt marker. Next, I foiled the Sketched Rosebud Bundle – Hot Foil and Cutting dies in a purple foil on lavender cardstock. I added simple shading to the roses and leaves.
I die cut the Piece of My Heart wafer die from warm gray cardstock. I also die cut the Etched Delicate Frond die from a grayish/green colored cardstock and the Etched Berry Branch die in an olive green. I arranged them on the card front, keeping the heart as the focus.
I die cut the “With Sympathy” phrase in purple with the shadow in white and attached it to the heart. I made sure to run the shadow behind the heart and the top layer phrase to the front of the heart. I wanted the entire heart to show from the front, but I needed the white shadow to support the letters on the far right and left. I used Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares to support the hear, letters, and top, middle rose. I used Simon Says Stamp Dot Runner Tape Adhesive to attach all the other layers.
