Welcome to day one of sneak peeks for the new release by Honey Bee Stamps called, Modern Spring. Today, I’m sharing several cards featuring some of the new products. These products (and my links below) will be available on 2/22 to order!

The featured projects below are made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panels. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use the Bee Creative Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink Pad for all heat embossing and Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. My cards are 5″ X 7″ in size unless noted.

Country Lavender Card

For my first 5″ X 7″ card, I started with a simple white A7 card base and added a 3″ gingham strip down the middle using a pattern paper from the Gingham Galore Holiday paper pad. Strips measuring 1/4″ wide of black gingham from the Back to Basics 6″ X 6″ paper pad were added to each side. I also added some stitching using my sewing machine to the white sections. It does not show well in the photos, but looks cool in person!

I stamped and colored the bucket, vase, and lavender from the Country Lavender stamp set and coordinating die set. The pot on the right side of the card is from the stamp set, Sweet Spring Mice stamp set and coordinating die set. I colored the images using the following colors:

  • Lavender / greenery: V09, V05, V04, V12, V00, YG67, YG63, YG23, YG04, E59, E57
  • Pail: E59, E57, E55, E43, YR27,YR24,
  • Bucket: E59, E57, E55, E43, W3, W1
  • Pitcher: BG72, BG79, B000, E42

I die cut all the images using the coordinating die sets including the Hello sentiment from the Country Lavender stamp set and coordinating die set.  I assembled the arrangements and attached them to the card base using Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue. The pitcher was attached to the center gingham section using Scrapbook Adhesives .25 Foam Squares in white.

This card is complete and looks fresh for Spring! Now on to the next card…

Friendship Ladder Card

Do you see more lavender in this card? Yep, I had to add some in this card, too! In addition, I’m using the ladder and accessories from the Friendship Ladder stamp set and coordinating die set. This is a fun set to make a interior home vignette like I did here.

I used gingham for the “wallpaper” in this interior scene. The gingham is from the Gingham Galore Holiday paper pad. A 1/8″ strip of white was used to finish the edge of the paper, almost like a simple chair rail you’d see in a house.

I stamped and colored the items in assorted colors and then die cut them using the coordinating dies. Notice that I created a framed art piece using the wreath. 🙂 I love the phrase from this set. It will be perfect for my book club ladies!
