Hello friends. I ‘ve got a cute and whimsical valentine today that uses the fun Road Trip stamp set, the new Love You stamp set and the Hearts Stencil by Jane’s Doodles. My card measures 5″ X 7″ and fits inside an A7 envelope. I’m using 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card base. Everything is stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I use Simon Says Stamp Dot Runner Tape Adhesive to attach the elements together. Here’s the details…
I used YG Copic colors to color the van. I also added in some blue. I used the following Copics: YG00, YG01, YG11, and B00. A little YG24, YG27 and E59 create the rusty spots! After the coloring the tires in cool grays and 1oo and the animals in cool grays (C5, C3, C1 and 100), and E colors, (E43, E42, E55, E57, E59), I attached a string of hearts on the side of the van. I fussy cut the van and worked on the rest of the card.
To create the background, I stenciled Worn Lipstick on pink cardstock for the top 1/2 of the card. I added a strip of striped black and white pattern paper below and a small aqua blue 1/4″ strip below the stripes. “Sending Love” was stamped in black in the open white space at the bottom. I attached the van using Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares.
Next, I stamped a number of of the saying from the Love You stamp set and then added a dash lines around the phrases and cut them out in a speech bubble shape. I attached them to the top, as if the critters are saying these out the window.
