Today, my inspiration card uses the following new products by Honey Bee Stamps:

Succulent Garden Builder die set

Inside: Wedding Sentiments stamp set and coordinating die set (for the phrase, “With Love”)

For my card, I wanted to create two hanging baskets that are connected in between by a lively, green heart vine, symbolizing love and care. I think this is a special and creative way to represent love and kindness for another.

Some creative details… The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

Hanging Heart Card

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started with an ink blended background using Distress Oxide Inks in Kitch Flamingo, Peacock Feathers, and Scattered Straw. I blended them in between to create a blue-purple and aqua color. I love that! I splattered water over the ink before it dried and lifted droplets of ink from the paper to create the splotchy look. I tore off the bottom and reattached it to create the torn line. This line will be used to “rest” my longest phrase on it.

For the hanging pots, I used leftover scraps of ink-blended colors to die cut my pots. I die cut the macramé hangers from white cardstock and then shadowed using E44, E43, E42 and W2 Copic markers to make them look more natural and dimensional. All of the greenery was cut from white cardstock and colored using Copics in YG99, YG65, YG63, YG17, YG03, YG00, G43, and G 29. I added a variety of greenery to the pots to make them interesting. I made a heart-shaped vine out of the linear vines to add between the pots. It’s like hanging pot A is extending its love and support to hanging pot B! The pots and the heart in the middle were attached using Scrapbook Adhesives .25 Foam Squares in white to make them stand out. I also added natural twine at the top for the hangers and pots to hang from.

Phrases from the sets, On the Line stamp set and coordinating die set (for the two print phrases) and Inside: Wedding Sentiments stamp set and coordinating die set (for the phrase, “With Love”) were added at the bottom. Lastly, I added specks of brown around the pots for more contrast.
